Job Summary


Carbon Medical Services Ltd. is hiring Alberta Registered ACP's for work. Work is mostly Northern AB and working the Alberta Wildfires as a medic. We are looking for someone to start July 30, 2025.

We are also looking for an ACP that is registered or is interested in getting registered in Saskatchewan. Start date is also July 30, 2025. For Saskatchewan, you must have H2S Alive and Common Safety Orientation (CSO).

Carbon Medical is located in Leduc, AB.

Carbon Medical works diligently so that you can work within your scope of practice. All of our stock is up to date and we diligently work on trying not to send anyone out with expired gear. Carbon has a Medical Director and we have an open door policy with all of our staff. Our General Manager is an Advanced Care Paramedic/FF that is registered and in good standing with ACoP. Our main office is in Leduc, AB.

Carbon Medical's Current Opportunities include the following:

Competitive rates, Carbon pays travel pay when leaving Leduc to go to site, and from site back to Leduc of $20.00/hr to drive. Carbon employees drive Carbon vehicles and use Carbon gas cards to get to site and back to Leduc. Rotations vary, however the usual is two weeks in the field away from home and two weeks off. If working a minimum of 14 days a month, after 3 months and continuously working minimum of 14 days a month, Carbon will pay up to $75.00/month for Alberta Blue Cross or other health benefits (with receipt being submitted), PPE provided such as hard hat, safety glasses, Carbon shirts, Carbon coveralls. Shifts are 12 hours, Carbon has Workhub which will allow you to view all of our policies and procedures. Carbon is also utilizing tablets and Starlinks and tablets on every unit, so it makes paperwork 95% paperless with tablets on every site. You can also use our tablets as phones, so no personal numbers are given out.

Duties



Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the situation to determine the appropriate course of action. Administer medications and provide advanced life support as needed. Perform patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring and medical history collection. Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment provided during emergencies. Operate emergency medical equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently. Assist with heavy lifting of patients when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
