About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) is assigned tasks by the Clinical Leader and works in collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members to meet patient care needs. They support patient care by practicing within the Advanced Care Paramedic scope of practice and demonstrating competencies in the provision of care.
The ACP accepts responsibility for maintaining and continually enhancing competencies through ongoing professional development, including participation in education programs, research, and continuous quality activities. The ACPs practice and conduct are defined by the professional registration body (EHSNS), and they are responsible for ensuring that registration is current and valid.
The ACP contributes to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department in meeting patient needs. They support the development of colleagues and students by acting as a preceptor and providing ongoing mentorship.
