Job Description
SKILLS
Contribute to the planning, implementation & assessment of therapeutic recreational programs & activities of daily living for The Social Club
Adapt programs/activities to meet the unique cognitive & physical needs of participants
Ability to effectively engage participants one on one or small group setting
Creative, enthusiastic team member, able to multi-task & manage time appropriately
Willingness to engage & interact with older adults living with dementia
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 Education or equivalent
Demonstrated initiative, good judgement & strong organizational abilities
Physically able to preform tasks/duties related to position
Experience/education in gerontology and/or dementia care
Experience/education in leadership, group facilitation, program planning & implementation
Certification as a Resident Attendant, Personal Support Worker or Activity Director an asset
Training in Gentle Persuasive Approaches, U First or person centered care an asset
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.14 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
Schedule:
4 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
