LAB Centre de langues de Montr\xc3\xa9al, offers specialized programs in English and French language courses. It is a member of the LCI Education network, which operates twenty-three educational institutions worldwide and shares a modern campus with LaSalle College in downtown Montreal.

As an Admissions Consultant, your objective is to provide administrative support to the Admissions Department throughout the life cycle of the admissions process, while exemplifying the core values of LAB and Lasalle College in the performance of all professional responsibilities.

We are looking for an independent individual who is constantly looking for new ways to improve and bring new perspectives to operations. You will report to the Assistant Director of LAB Montreal.

Permanent, full-time position
Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm (37.5 per week)
Salary: 20,43$/heure

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reception

  • Greet visitors and answer incoming phone calls and emails;
  • Keep the reception area organized;
  • Enter and maintain student data;
  • Organize information and send requests, updates and messages to appropriate personnel (such as headmaster, administrators, etc.) and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Create reports, metrics, mailings, lists, etc.
Admission
  • Act as an advisor to international students who wish to enrol in one of our language programmes;
  • Be in charge of the entire admissions process: application, application, evaluation, with a focus on converting applications to enrolments;
  • Ensuring that applications are entered and tracked and enrolments are correctly recorded in the database with relevant documents attached and filed appropriately;
  • Collect and maintain accurate records related to enrolments (i.e. transcripts, teacher recommendations) for each applicant using electronic and paper-based information;
  • Informing prospective students by telephone, email or in person, who require information on the requirements and admission conditions of the programmes offered at our institution;
  • Follow-up with students to facilitate their registration;
  • Ensuring that we are up to date on immigration policies and procedures;
Promotional events
  • Supporting local agents in relation to student recruitment activities;
  • Advising at open houses, career fairs, virtual workshops, etc;
  • Participate in the welcome and integration activities of international students;
  • Keeping abreast of best practices in the field and the competition in terms of student recruitment and promotion of language schools.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years in administration and/or customer service
  • French and English, oral and written;
  • Good knowledge of a third language (asset);
  • Experience in the field of education (asset);
  • Experience in the field of education (asset); Having worked with CRM software (asset).
