Administrator Mine Training

Job Description

Our customer, a major oil and gas producer, is looking for a contract Administrator - Mine Training for a 1 year term with the possibility of extension. This is a camp based position out of Ft.McMurray with flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary. It is an 8/6 schedule. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to provide administrative support to the Trainers and the department with organizing and scheduling the training delivery and of record keeping.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



Act as the primary point of contact for training-related inquiries from employees and contractors Provide accurate and timely training data reports to Mining Leadership Perform data entry, record maintenance, and information retrieval Manage and update training record systems to ensure data integrity LMS Coordinator: Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure compliance with training requirements for all Mine Operations, Mine Maintenance, Tailings, Dewatering, Geology and Mine Technical AMSA Coordinator: Register applicants, credit learning profiles, and submit quarterly billing Maintain up-to-date staff training data across all training matrices Develop and maintain the training calendar, coordinating events and departmental schedules Track, analyze, and generate training statistics and reports Accurately enter and monitor daily time sheets Arrange accommodations, flights, and site access for vendors as required Provide and maintain employee contact lists, expense forms, and office requests Coordinate vehicle PM schedules, repairs, and logbook documentation Coordinate the development, review and revision of Mine Operations practices & procedures Mine Operations Procedure Coordinator: Support the formal procedure review/approval process by managing, monitoring, and reporting the McLaren status of each document Assist in the creation and maintenance of training materials and documentation Record, distribute, and archive meeting minutes Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of office supplies and training materials, placing orders as required Act as the first point of contact for department IT-related issues, including CBTs, computers, and printers Provide support/backup coverage to other areas of the business

Comply with all Health and Safety Requirements established by client Know and comply with all regulations and legislative requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for the Province of Alberta and environmental standards Follow safe work procedures and ensure all personnel comply Report any injury or illness immediately Report unsafe acts and conditions Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available and is worn where and when required



QUALIFICATIONS



Grade 12 or GED is required Secondary education or office administration and/or training certificate would be an asset 2+ years of experience in administrative or training administrative position is required Understanding of the operation of mining equipment and processes would be an asset Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office is required Previous experience with data management, record keeping, and document management systems would be an asset Excellent written communication skills and detail oriented Able to work in a team environment or independently Enjoys creating and promoting a positive work environment Willing to learn and seek new opportunities and challenges
