This role sits within Laurentian Bank.


The incumbent is responsible for the daily administration and processing in support of Banking Administration, in accordance with Laurentian Bank of Canada's standards, policies, procedures and established SLA's. The incumbent will be expected to support or answer internal/external partners' inquiries, regarding the products administered within the department, while providing a consistent level of superior customer service as well as providing subject matter expertise for department projects and initiatives. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining and updating reports.



Responsibilities


Assign tasks to ensure Senior Administrators can process all requests within established timeframes Process, reconcile, and verify data to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures; identify accounting discrepancies and report any irregularities to the immediate supervisor Generate reports and statistical tables to provide information to managers Handle complex cases involving government agencies, law enforcement entities, court orders, etc., by gathering information and retrieving relevant files and documents in response to requests Collect information and retrieve files/documents to respond to requirements from clients, government agencies, regulatory bodies, law enforcement entities, and court orders Process fund disbursement and freezing requests from the Public Curator Handle disbursement requests (PTR, Revenu Quebec, CRA), information requests (IR), and execution notices (EN) in accordance with bank standards, and deliver client information to the appropriate government agency Process manufacturing orders, subpoenas, and lawyer requests in compliance with service level agreements and bank procedures Conduct quality control checks on requests submitted by Senior Administrators Act as the point of contact for government agencies regarding escalated requests, Public Curator matters, and court orders Serve as the primary liaison with Legal Affairs for any litigation files Resolve escalated cases and communicate directly with branches, lawyers, bailiffs, and government entities Participate in team knowledge sharing to ensure issues are resolved systematically and efficiently Train new team members within the department Prepare various reports to support the management team Provide recommendations to improve work processes Perform any other related or general tasks as requested by immediate supervisors or required as part of the role

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in a related field At least 2 years of experience in a bank/trust company Collaborative and a team player Detail-oriented and meticulous Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows Good knowledge of complex and large-scale financial database systems; ability to learn query and administrative processing system management functions is an asset Bilingual (French and English) is essential
Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
