We are looking for a permanent part-time Drug Access Coordinator (DAC) to join our dedicated Supportive Care Services, North team based out of Cross Cancer Institute - Edmonton General Continuing Care Satellite site. As an Oncology Drug Access Coordinator, you'll help patients navigate financial barriers to access their prescribed cancer treatments. You'll collaborate with healthcare providers, private clinics, insurance providers, and financial assistance programs to coordinate chemotherapy and other treatments. Key responsibilities include: Helping patients access oncology treatments despite insurance or formulary barriers. Staying up to date on funding options, drug plan submissions, and assistance programs for patient coverage and confirming outcome of coverage. Supporting the coordination of timely delivery of chemotherapy and treatments. Streamlining processes using your knowledge of insurance plans and hospital protocols. Assists physicians in applying for and maintaining patients on Patient Support Programs, including populating forms & follow up. Coordinates confirmation to proceed with treatment with private infusion centre according to protocol delivery and ensures appropriate post-care follow-up is scheduled.
