Your Opportunity:

The Administrative Support position provides support in a variety of functions in EMS and reports directly to the Director of EMS Operations, Calgary Zone. The position is responsible for providing complex administrative and office support and is expected to ensure the effective and efficient management of a wide scope of responsibilities, which includes a high level of professional, well-organized administrative support for the Director, as well as day-to-day operational support for the rest of the team and frontline staff. Working under limited supervision, this position requires a strong focus on busy day-to-day calendar management, human resource management (recruitment and position management), organizing and supporting provincial level meetings as well as compiling data and generating reports. This position requires a high degree of self-direction, organization, problem solving, and customer services skills. The incumbent requires advanced administrative skills and excellent communication skills and competency in all Microsoft Office applications. This position works closely with other management, clerical and clinical staff as well as outside stakeholders. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: Planning and organizing (scheduling) of the activities of the portfolio on behalf of the Director; Preparing material for presentations, memorandums and reports; Coverage for other Administrative Support position in EMS Operations. The incumbent is required to provide a high standard of interpersonal communication and must demonstrate confidentiality, flexibility, and initiative while facilitating meeting the needs of other team members such as the direct reports to the Director. Incumbent uses extensive independent judgment in interpreting guidelines to meet objectives and solutions to problems.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration). Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years\' experience performing a clerical or administrative role in a healthcare setting. Post Secondary Business or Health care related Diploma/Certificate is preferred; a combination of progressive experience and education may be considered. Must be an intermediate user and above in Microsoft Office package (particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Teams). Must have excellent professional, public relation skills, and attention to detail. Must demonstrate superior time management and organizational skills. Must be flexible in order to accommodate competing and changing workload demands. Must have the ability to work under pressure with significant mental/visual demands, and handle competing and frequently changing priorities, within tight deadlines. Must be able to exercise judgment, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion. Must have excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal, and customer service skills. Must have excellent problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking ability. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Project Management.
