ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST - TEMPORARY OPPORTUNITY
Type: Temporary | Hybrid | Edmonton, AB
My client located in northwest Edmonton is seeking a Temporary Administrative Support Specialist to support a high-priority project involving the transfer, formatting, and standardization of Word and Excel documents. This is a short-term opportunity for someone with advanced MS Word skills, strong accuracy, and experience working with templates and structured data.
This is a hybrid role consisting of 3 days in office and 2 working from home. Free parking is provided, and the location is bus route accessible.
About the Opportunity
This role will focus on transferring content from existing Word templates into newly created standardized templates. The successful candidate will also take data from Excel spreadsheets and integrate it into Word documents accurately and consistently. This position requires advanced proficiency in Word formatting, styles, and templates, along with strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer and reformat content from legacy Word templates into the new standardized format.
  • Import, organize, and verify Excel data within Word documents.
  • Ensure all documents meet style, branding, and formatting requirements.
  • Validate and cross-check data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to resolve data discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • Microsoft Word Expertise - advanced knowledge of formatting, styles, and templates and the ability to create, adjust, and troubleshoot complex document layouts.
  • Microsoft Excel Proficiency - comfortable transferring data between Excel and Word and experience importing/exporting data.
  • Data Entry & Accuracy - high level of precision when transferring and validating information.
  • Strong cross-checking and verification ability.
  • Document Conversion & Standardization - experience migrating content into new templates and understanding of branding, layout consistency, and professional documentation standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; clear and professional communication is a must.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
