Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager or Designate for Rural West Community Addiction & Mental Health, you will provide administrative support to the Addiction and Mental Health staff as well as physicians primarily at the Rocky Mountain House Addiction & Mental Health Clinic with potential of providing administrative coverage at the Drayton Valley Addiction & Mental Health Clinic if required. In this role, your duties will include scheduling clients, site and administrative support meetings, computer processing of all types of documents, data entry, incoming and outgoing mail management, health records management, and potential for timekeeping duties. Receiving visitors and reception functions, as well as performing other related duties. Works collaboratively with all programs and services, maintains positive, professional, cooperative relationships with internal and external programs, services, clients. Is accountable for maintaining confidentiality of information as per the Acts and Legislation within the Province of Alberta.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years experience in Addictions and Mental Health required. The successful candidate must be proficient with and have advanced skill and knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite and in the use of transcribing machines; as well as being experienced with recording minutes. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, tact and good judgment to deal effectively with the public. You are a team player with excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle confidential material and demonstrate the strong organizational skills necessary to work in a busy office environment. You possess the willingness and ability to adapt to new situations and the ability to learn specialized software applications. An excellent attendance record, reliability and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment references. Knowledge of ASIST and Connect Care databases would be of significant benefit. Preferred Qualifications:

Community Addiction and Mental Health experience would be an asset. Office Administration education: Diploma preferred.
