Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Registration Switchboard and Patient Information (RSPI), the Administrative Support III performs a variety of administrative duties related to interviewing patients/public and providing accurate and timely registration services for the hospital. Main duties include processing admission and registration of inpatients and outpatients, verify and validating patient identification, collection of financial responsibilities and orientation to staff and students. Responsibilities will also include reception services, operating the switchboard, directing calls, wayfinding, monitoring code phones as required in the site, financial functions for hospital billing, and supplies, daily reconciliations, deposits, patient safekeeping, & where applicable assisting residents with trust accounts.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Medical Terminology required, proficiency test. Keyboarding skills required, proficiency test. Knowledge of legislation regarding access, privacy and disclosure of patient information required. Confident to work independently and in a team environment with excellent communication skills. Skilled at paying close attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional image, manage stressful situations with empathy and to remain calm, courteous, sensitive and tactful at all times.
