Your Opportunity:
As an Administrative Assistant III you would work as part of the Alberta Healthy Living Program Administration team and provide admin support to both Nutrition Services and Alberta Healthy Living Programs. The Admin Assistant III reports to the Manager of Nutrition Services and receives supervision and day to day direction from the Administrative Team with AHLP. You would provide front line reception support for a site that is very busy with outpatients and provides centralized scheduling for 11 south west sites. Using defined booking criteria and algorithms you will navigate and schedule referrals as appropriate and consult with clinical Team Leads when necessary to ensure timely access to services. Responsibilities include attending clients in connect care, completing client registrations, scheduling, cancelling, and rescheduling of appointments, greeting clients when they arrive, navigating inquiries to the appropriate person, and interacting with clients over the phone. As an Admin Support III you may also participate in the maintenance and updating of medical records, running appointment reports and assigning clinic space and other administrative duties as required. Skills required in the position include the ability to work independently, extensive time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. The successful candidate will be able to work well in a team environment with good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills and be able to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:
As Required. Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years administrative support experience. Experience working with Connect Care and with the Ambulatory Unit Clerk or Schegistrar role. Skills and knowledge in using Microsoft office, word, excel and outlook. Knowledge and experience with virtual health platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom.
