We are seeking a caring and detail-oriented individual to join our Public Health (PH) Team. This Administrative Support III (AS III) position is a key member of the PH team that provides integrated, strength-based, family-centered PH care. Our team provides PH services that promote and protect the health of individuals, groups, and communities. Specific duties include (but are not limited to): packing and unpacking supplies and vaccines, vaccine ordering and management, documentation in an electronic medical record (EMR), traveling to several schools and other sites, registering students, data entry, and record management. The AS III will be a member of the multidisciplinary team supporting daily operations of PH services including greeting clients, managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, data entry/word processing, records management and anticipating the needs and demands of PH and its clients. This position requires proficient use of an EMR and scheduling system. This position requires the following: AS III positions are cross trained for front desk reception. Must be able to work in a loud, chaotic, busy environment with clients of all ages. Ability to carry up to 25 lbs. of equipment. Ability to carry out awkward and repetitive movements for an entire 7.75-hour shift, including sitting, standing and/or bending for long periods of time. Comply with appropriate hand hygiene techniques, including regular use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer and antibacterial soap. Perform other administrative duties to support programs and services within the Edmonton Zone PH portfolio are required. Note: Those selected for an interview will be required to complete a skills assessment. This position is part of Primary Care Alberta.
