The Administrative Support III is responsible for performing reception, registration, and appointment booking functions; operating the switchboard, maintaining health records and processing care visit documentation; maintaining integrity of health records databases. Other clerical duties to support a range of programs and services provided in the Public Health Centre.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:
Accurate data entry/keyboard skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work well within a team environment, both locally and across multiple sites/programs. Ability to foster positive interpersonal and communication skills in a professional manner with clients, healthcare providers, peers, departmental management, and other individuals who access Public Health services. Ability to prioritize workload to meet established turnaround times. Ability to make sound judgment decisions. Ability to adhere to strict organizational policies, procedures, and legislated requirements regarding patient confidentiality. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and still meet workload timelines. Ability to move and lift moderately (up to 30 pounds) heavy objects. Ability to operate basic office equipment, including fax machine, photocopier, and personal computer. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a health care setting. Experience with Connect Care. Completion of Office Administrative or Business Administrative certificate or diploma. Previous experience in an office environment within the last five (5) years. English language skills in reading, writing and oral communication. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows based computer programs and basic computer skills.
