Your Opportunity:AHS has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Support III to work at QEII / Mackenzie Place to provide care with medically stable clients transitioning from the hospital to home, or from one care setting to another. The Admin III is an integral part of a team that works together to provide safe and respectful care with residents and families within the unit TCU. Under general supervision of the Care Manager and as part of the interprofessional health care team, the Admin III provides receptionist and clerical support to assist in the daily operation of the unit TCU. The Admin III will support daily operations through completion of required payroll and staff scheduling functions, processing of physician orders, ordering of supplies, and communicating with various Alberta Health Services departments. A strong customer service focus is essential. Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 year experience working within a medical or continuing care environment. Knowledge of medical terminology. Proficient working with Windows and the Office suite of products, in particular Word/Excel and work with a high degree of accuracy. Strong customer service focus. Possess tact, diplomacy and maturity. Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness. Evidence of thoroughness and attention to detail. Evidence of responsibility in dealing with confidential information. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritize and organize workload within a dynamic work environment. Ability to learn new applications and advanced functions within the electronic medical record. Ability to work autonomously and in a self-directed manner when required. Ability to work under pressure and deal with stress effectively. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships. Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency in e-People. Proficiency in Meditech. Proficiency in ESP training. Experience with payroll and staff scheduling. Previous experience working with older adults. Familiarity with applicable collective agreements. Familiarity with Continuing Care systems.
