Job Description
We are hiring an Administrative Support professional for a 3-month contract within the Government of Alberta, starting ASAP. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and confident managing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and distribute meeting materials and agendas
- Take accurate, action-focused meeting minutes for senior-level meetings
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, and logistics for multiple team members
- Handle office operations: ordering supplies, coordinating deliveries, tracking approvals
- Maintain records and documents, including SharePoint version control
- Process invoices, track expenses, and support basic finance coordination
- Assist with onboarding and general administrative tasks
- Track action items and ensure follow-up is completed
- Strong administrative experience supporting leaders or committees is required. Previous experience in the Government of Alberta is an asset.
- Previous minute-taking experience (Board or senior-level minutes required)
- Intermediate to advanced MS Word and Excel skills
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working with digital files and systems
- Able to work independently, ask clarifying questions, and follow directions accurately
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and reliable
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
