Looking for an opportunity to work with a dynamic team of individuals? We are seeking a team oriented individual to perform data entry and to provide support services for the Claims Services Branch.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will perform data entry and provide administrative support services to site staff in support of claims services processing, including:

  • Input information and billing documents/records into data fields.
  • Type correspondence, sort, retrieve and update files and/or records.
  • Purge and maintain files for user reference.
  • Open, log and distribute mail.
  • Weigh and pack parcels.
  • Maintain databases and capture data from source documents.
  • Operate office and postage equipment and switchboard.
  • Provide service to walk-in clients, couriers and delivery personnel.

Job requires the following:

  • Physical ability to perform mail and stock duties by lifting and or pushing up to 40 lbs. of stock, mail bags, printouts, claim cards, postage equipment and garbage containers.
  • Daily standing when unpacking and storing supplies and stooping or squatting to perform minor adjustments to microfilm.
  • Frequent walking to deliver mail or supplies.


How do I qualify?

RESEARCH AND ANALYTICAL SKILLS:

  • You can direct incoming mail, return misdirected mail and follow-up on back orders, and lost shipments or mail.
  • You can collect data and statistics to complete production reports.


KNOWLEDGE:

  • You are able to understand and provide consistent application of regulations, guidelines and office practices and procedures.
  • You have knowledge of incoming and outgoing mailroom processes, records management and inventory and stock management practices, general filing and switchboard.


TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • You have demonstrated experience using personal computers, software applications (word processing, internet, e-mail, databases) to prepare correspondence, labels, lists and reports.
  • You have good keyboarding skills to input, edit, retrieve and save data.
  • You have demonstrated experience using and maintaining basic office equipment (photocopier, microfilmer, postage/weight scale, etc.).


COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

  • You can respond to in-person and telephone inquiries from the public and internal and external stakeholders and compose emails/memos and prepare form letters.
  • You can work in a team environment, sharing decision making with co-workers to prioritize production tasks and co-coordinating work schedules to ensure operational requirements are met.
