SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
(Administrative Services - Level 3) OPEN COMPETITION CENTRAL ZONE The Department of Social Development is seeking individuals for current and future permanent full-time opportunities as Administrative Services Officers in the Miramichi. As a member of the Administrative Services team, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide a variety of administrative support services to the general public and all levels of staff within the office. Responsibilities include providing general information, responding to a wide range of routine and complex telephone inquiries and/or walk-in clients, and directing clients and/or the general public to the appropriate employee or resource. Work will also include: filing, photocopying, handling of incoming and outgoing mail, receiving payments, preparation of correspondence, data entry, word processing, and maintaining a supplies inventory. Other duties may be assigned as required. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Work at this level requires education gained through high school or GED, supplemented by post-secondary education typically a one (1) year program plus a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
