POSITION SUMMARY
The 2 Fontbonne Clinic is a high volume, fast-paced clinic providing care for patients across the spectrum from pediatrics to obstetrics and gynecology. Working closely with physicians, nurses, clerical staff, learners, patients and families, this position provides administrative support within the clinic including medical transcription, surgical booking, patient registration, filing and other clerical duties as assigned to support daily clinic operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 year post-secondary diploma in Office Administration - Health Services from an accredited school is required
Medical terminology certificate required
Minimum 3 years experience providing administrative support in a busy hospital setting, preferably related to women's health and newborn and pediatric care,.
Experience and demonstrated proficiency with hospital software programs and information systems including Dovetale and Accuro
Experience and demonstrated proficiency with medical transcription including voice recognition software such as Dragon.
Must be able to type transcriptions accurately from dictation.
Experience with surgical booking procedures.
Advanced skill level typing speed is required.
Intermediate skill level for general spelling, medical spelling, medical terminology, MS Excel, and MS Word is required.
Clerical testing may be required as part of the selection process.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology related to Women's Health, newborns and pediatrics.
Demonstrated ability to adapt and function as a flexible team player in a fast-paced, high volume clinic environment.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated excellent telephone, interpersonal and customer service skills required.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated good work performance and attendance record.

WAGE RATE:
Hourly: $28.87....$30.14....$31.37 (plus 14% in lieu)
