Job Description


Position Summary:
This position provides reception, administration duties and registration support to the Fracture Clinic and interacts directly within the unit(s) and to other hospital departments. All related duties and responsibilities adhere to the policies and procedures of St. Joseph\'s Healthcare.

Qualifications:

  • Two-Year College diploma in Medical Office Administration required
  • Minimum 1 year experience in health care environment
  • Medical Terminology Certificate required
  • Intermediate skill level in MSWord, Powerpoint and MSExcel
  • Familiarity with registration and PHS scheduling database systems
  • Accurate keyboarding and transcription skills of 50 wpm
  • Clerical testing may be required as part of the selection process
  • Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility, plan, prioritize, and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills, and the ability to deal with the public with tact and diplomacy. Excellent customer service orientation
  • Ability to perform well as a contributing member of a team
  • Good organizational and analytical problem-solving skills
HOURS OF WORK:
Rotating shifts, Monday to Friday, days

WAGE RATE
Hourly: $27.21...$28.41...$29.57 (plus 14% in lieu of benefits)
