Hours of Work: 80 Hours Biweekly - Days - 1 Year Term



Work Location:

Hybrid Work Schedule - Travel between all Northwood Campuses, main work location in the Halifax Campus.

Qualifications:



Minimum two years of experience in geriatric nutrition preferred CBORD software experience or other menu management software preferred Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition or equivalent from an accredited university Completion of an accredited internship program Licensure by the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists Previous experience in dysphagia management and assessment considered an asset Previous experience in mentoring and educating considered an asset Computer proficiency required including the use of Microsoft Office Knowledge of nutrition interventions used in long term care, including: Dementia, dysphagia, diabetes, COPD and HTN, Treatments/assessments (e.g. bedside swallowing assessments and texture modification), wound care management, and enteral nutrition Must have regular and consistent attendance in accordance with the Northwood corporate standard.

Responsibilities (Overview):



Implement and oversee the operation and maintenance of the dietary management software system (CBORD), ensuring that data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements at multiple sites Train staff on the use of the software system, troubleshoot any issues, and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal usage. Ensures accurate data (allergens, ingredients, etc), food production work sheets and flow of food, food service processes Develops, educates and implements standards of practice and processes related to CBORD software. Consults with leadership and departmental operations for consistent quality improvements. Work closely with the dietary department, providing leadership and training to dietary aides and other staff on the proper use of software tools and nutrition-related protocols implementation, evaluation and ongoing monitoring which incorporates evidence-based research. Collaborate with IT and management to identify system updates, enhancements, or new software implementations to improve workflow efficiency and resident care Mentors' students and provides staff education. Performs other related duties as required

Pay: $31.81-$41.93 per hour
