About the Opportunity

As a member of Nutrition and Food Services the Administrative Dietitian will work collaboratively with various team members such as dietitians, diet techs, food service team members, and leadership to support clinical nutrition, patient feeding, and retail services. The Administrative Dietitian will support Nutrition and Food Service policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives related to malnutrition detection, prevention, and treatment; nutrition prescription; diet standards and other initiatives. The administrative dietitian researches current evidence and helps to develop, educate, implement, and evaluate standards, procedures, and outcomes related to supporting Nutrition and Food Service initiatives.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition/Dietetics required
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship recognized by the Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice required
  • Licensure by Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists required
  • Minimum one (1) year recent related experience required
  • Computer literate and working knowledge application of food service system software
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently, or in a group
  • Understand and interpret clinical standards
  • Mentor/train interns and students

Hours
  • Permanent part-time (50%) position; 37.5 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives

$32.30 - $42.58 Hourly
