Job Description



Under general supervision, the

Clerk 2 (ADM03)

will perform a range of administrative and clerical duties in support of the Department of Environment and Climate Change. The role requires knowledge and understanding of established methods, procedures, acts, rules, and regulations, and the ability to apply sound judgment in selecting the most appropriate work methods.

Key Responsibilities



Provide general administrative and clerical support to departmental staff. Prepare, file, and organize correspondence and documentation. Process and submit expense claims accurately and on time. Monitor and maintain office supply inventory and petty cash. Distribute inter-office mail and ensure proper handling of communications. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and respond to in-person inquiries professionally. Maintain records and data entry as required by departmental procedures. Support other administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements



Grade XI (Grade 11) education or equivalent. Minimum two (2) years of related clerical or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficient in using office software such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professional and courteous demeanor.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $17.70 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Work Location: In person
