Job Description

Offer support to leadership members with day-to-day administrative support. In addition to performing traditional Administrative Assistant duties such as word processing, filing, copying, the Administrative Assistant functions as a primary communications link between the rest of the hospital, the public and department staff.
Education:

  • Completion of a two-year college program with a focus in Secretarial or Administrative Assistant work
  • Ontario Secondary School graduation diploma with commercial options or equivalent secretarial skills
  • Completion of a medical terminology course or comprehension of medical terminology an asset
Experience:
  • Progressive experience in administrative roles
  • Computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint required)
  • Has worked for a Manager/Director
Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate with a variety of management levels
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Strong listening skills
Other:
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service skills
