Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring smooth office operations and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills, proficiency in various software applications, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Wages and benefits are determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement in place.

Duties



Greet visitors and clients at the front desk with professionalism and courtesy. Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls appropriately and taking messages as needed. Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records. Handle filing and organization of documents to ensure easy access to information. Provide customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Proficient i n Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe for various administrative tasks Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution. Maintain an organized workspace to enhance productivity within the office environment. The applicant should be familiar with legal applications and filings to various tribunals, providing administrative support to staff in filing and preparing for hearings and arbitrations

Qualifications



Previous office experience is required; experience in union is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for filing and data management. Effective phone etiquette and strong customer service skills are necessary for this role. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude. Typing proficiency with strong proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality documentation. A significant part of the job includes detailed editing and amendments to documents. Clerical experience that demonstrates capability in administrative functions.
