is the regulatory authority for the dental profession in Saskatchewan. We are responsible for licensing and regulating dentists in the province, ensuring public safety and professional standards under the
Dental Disciplines Act
. Our newly renovated office is located in the vibrant Midtown Tower in downtown Saskatoon.
Position Summary
The CDSS is seeking a professional and highly motivated individual to fill the
Receptionist & Administrative Assistant
role for a
one-year maternity leave
term. This position is ideal for a self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills, who thrives in a dynamic office environment and enjoys engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including document formatting, proofreading, presentation creation, minute-taking, and spreadsheet development.
Open and sort mail; maintain office supplies; scan, file, and organize documentation as needed.
Assist with travel and meeting coordination, including booking venues, preparing agendas and meeting kits under the direction of the Executive Director, Registrar, or Chair.
Support logistics for events, mailouts, email communications (eblasts), and other promotional initiatives.
Maintain and update content on the CDSS website; coordinate with external IT support as needed.
Collaborate closely with the Administrative Licensing Coordinator and provide general accounting support.
Greet visitors professionally and courteously; direct guests to appropriate personnel.
Answer and manage incoming calls, screen and relay messages accurately via Microsoft Teams or email; manage reception voicemail.
Respond to public and registrant inquiries by phone and email or redirect to appropriate staff.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Office Administration Certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience:
1-2 years in an administrative or office setting. Experience in dental or healthcare administration is considered an asset.
Technology:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is an asset.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
Organization:
Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong time management and organizational skills.
Independence & Teamwork:
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Professionalism & Confidentiality:
High level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Detail-Oriented:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
