The opportunity:



IDEA START at the University of Manitoba is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to help drive collaboration across campus and beyond. In this dynamic role, you'll support the Director and Program Manager, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and keep operations running smoothly. The qualifications and experience we're looking for:



Undergraduate Degree in either business administration, or a related field is required. Minimum of one year of related experience in an administrative or customer service role, including experience managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and handling data entry is required. An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. An understanding of general office procedures is required. Exceptional verbal and written skills with a high degree of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and professionalism when interacting with high-level internal and external contacts is required. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate data entry and maintaining records are required. Proficiency in office software like Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams), and the ability to learn new technology and software programs with ease is required. A team-oriented individual, responsive to the demands of staff and students is required. Demonstrated ability to work well on their own, work independently with limited supervision, and take initiative are required. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines is required. Ability to work within the digital ecosystem is required. Versatility and flexibility required to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.

Pay: $27.52-$38.37 per hour

Expected hours: 17.50 per week
