Dougall Media, Thunder Bay's only locally owned broadcast/multimedia company, has an exciting opening as an Administrative Assistant in our Administration team.
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant who will be in charge of keeping our Directors team and the company President, well organized and supported. Training will be provided, however, it is expected that you will have experience in this type of role. A great sense of humour, and a no-nonsense approach are assets that you can provide. Someone who has volunteered their time, and values community service will be a great fit with our company culture and family-oriented organization. A great attribute would be understanding various social media platforms as well.
The job description will be to assist the President and Senior Executives as required, and have a little fun while doing so. Primary duties of the position:
Calendar management and scheduling for Directors' Team
Answer calls and manage correspondence for Executive Team
Filing and document management
Take meeting minutes as requested
Assist in coordinating meetings and travel arrangements (if needed)
Support HR Coordinator and Administration team as needed
Other duties as requested, especially those that support the Organizations Objectives.
Required Credentials and skills:
Highly organized, resourceful, and able to learn quickly
Discrete & confidential
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
2+ years of experience in an administrative or secretarial role is an asset
Valid Ontario Driver's License
