Position Summary




Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed permanent full time Administrative Assistant to support the Surgical Services department.

The Administrative Assistant, NH Surgical Services Program, provides direct administrative and secretarial support to the Executive and Medical Leads of the Surgical Services Program.

Starting salary will be approximately from $44,088 to $55,110 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualifications



Grade 12 with completion of a one year recognized business/secretarial certificate.
Three (3) years to five (5) recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to type 60 words per minute.
Advanced computer skills including familiarity with Windows environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability or organize work.
Ability to function with little or no supervision and to handle pressure with a varied workload.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
