Job Description

Remedy Electric is a growing Electrical contractor based in Prince George. Founded in 2022 we proudly service Northern BC from our Prince George office. We are searching for a confident individual to assist with administrative duties from our Prince George office. The job is for a full-time. As the office administrative assistant, you will be responsible for:

Manage the front desk/reception operations, acting as the first point of contact for customers, employees, and vendors Perform general administrative tasks, including answering and directing phone calls, email correspondence, filing, meeting minutes, data entry, mailings, and deliveries Dispatching and tracking of staff and job status Accounts Payable entry and payment. Experience with Quickbooks an asset Some Accounts Receivable and small parts ordering Oversee and order office supplies, anticipating requirements, and making sure equipment is in working order Maintain filing system, contact database Provide ad-hoc support to office and other staff members and departments as needed, including organizing team events onsite and offsite Management of shipping and receiving Inventory management Other duties as required

Skills and Qualifications:



Proven administrative experience, including, but not limited to: Proficient in Microsoft Office and 365 Suite, with aptitude to learn new software and systems Demonstrate proficiency using Adobe Acrobat & working with PDF files Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Able to build and maintain relationships and work as part of a team Must be able to move 50 lbs and perform physical activities comfortably including bending, stretching, and standing for short periods of time Experience packaging, shipping and receiving of goods. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks an asset Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to monitor and evaluate performance to take corrective action or suggest improvements Ability to solve complex problems by reviewing relevant information and developing or evaluating available solutions Effective planning, organizational, coordination, and time management skills Able to work independently with minimal supervision Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, work well under pressure; and Able to be proactive, attentive to detail, action oriented, and results driven.
Preference given to applicants with the following additional skills and qualifications:

College certificate program in administration or business, including accounting courses. Prior experience in a supervisory or administrative roll Prior experience with construction or service-based companies Forklift operation certification an asset, or willingness to obtain certification.

Benefits:



Hourly wage $20.00-$30.00/hr, depending on experience Modern, comfortable office c/w free parking Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Paid vacation as per BC labour code Medical and Dental Benefits
