St. Joseph Non-Profit Housing Corporation provides affordable rental apartments and townhouses to seniors and families. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate
full-time Administrative Assistant.
The successful applicant will excel in multitasking while ensuring that all tenants and visitors receive professional and courteous assistance. We are looking to hire an individual who will see value in being part of a cohesive team and has the ability to engage with a wide demographic from all walks of life
Duties/Responsibilities
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Receive, record, and deposit rent
Prepare bank deposits
Prepare work order requests for maintenance staff and contractors as needed
Answer phone inquiries from tenants and the public
Greet and welcome tenants and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
Handle the day-to-day office operations, including filing, organizing, ordering office supplies, and troubleshooting technical issues that may arise
Assist the Executive Director in preparing leases and conducting rent interviews
Prepare packages for board meetings; attend meetings to record and transcribe minutes
Assist the Executive Director with preparing for the annual audit
Other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the office and buildings
Skills/Qualifications
Diploma in Office or Business Administration
Experience working with Sage50
Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of rent-geared-to-income calculations and familiarity with the Housing Services Act 2011 would be considered assets

Pay: $37,500.00-$43,000.00 per year
