We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Housing Accommodations Manager, the Administrative Assistant is directly responsible for providing administrative and customer service support. Performing a wide range of duties, the goal of the position is to support the efficient day-to-day operation of the Heritage Tower Lodge and Greene Valley Apartments by assisting the Manager with their housing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support to the Housing Accommodations Manager, such as; preparing general correspondence, data entry, filing, booking meetings and assisting with the housing process.
Provide reception and customer service responsibilities, acting as the first point of contact when people enter the Lodge.
Promote and contribute to a safe and respectful workplace, adhering to applicable safety regulations and supporting the Health and Safety program.
Provide coverage for the Housing Accommodations Manager position during their absence, which includes after hours on call.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Post Secondary education in Office Administration or related field.
One (1) to two (2) years of previous related experience is required.
Equivalencies in education and experience may be considered.
Completion of a current and acceptable criminal record check for the vulnerable sector as required by the Protection for Persons in Care Act and the Accommodation Standards and Licensing Act is mandatory.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience working with YARDI system or other property management software is an asset.
Basic First Aid and WHMIS certification is considered an asset, willingness to complete required.
Position Details:
The Administrative Assistant works 40 hours per week, generally from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, this schedule includes an unpaid half-hour meal break.
Occasional travel within the NPHF region may be required, at times using a personal vehicle.
