Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support primarily for the Planning and Clerk's departments.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



Provide customer service by responding to all incoming phone calls, emails as well as greeting and assisting all visitors at the front counter.

Perform general office duties including typing, filing correspondence, photocopying, scanning, labelling, process mail, updating contact lists, etc.

Maintain records and filing systems, including property roll files and general correspondence, in accordance with Township's records management policy.

Accept and process cash receipts, issue dog tags, garbage stickers and compost bins.

Assist Clerk with by-law enforcement matters.

Maintain and update the Township's website.

Create social media posts and Township newsletters.

Assist the planning department with building permits and assessment tracking.

Answer general planning enquiries from the public or real estate agents.

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the general office areas.

To meet the requirements of this position, the successful candidate will have the following:

High-school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro.

Excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $22.33-$25.13 per hour
