DUTIES
Reporting to the Dean, Mihcet Meskanawah Teaching and Learning (MMTL), the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and
clerical support to the Dean. The Administrative Assistant will oversee and perform a wide variety of administrative tasks such archiving
department records, tracking budgets, managing personnel processes for the area, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the
department. The Administrative Assistant will coordinate functions and projects related to an academic area. The Administrative Assistant
will support reporting requirements for the provincial funder of the Adult Learning Centre.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Office Assistant Certificate; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Experience in reviewing and monitoring office budgets
Experience coordinating and scheduling travel arrangements
Experience with scheduling meetings and minute-taking
Proficiency in MS Office 365 and office technologies (managing an electronic calendar, databases, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Ability to take initiative
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
