Administrative Assistant
to support our operations in the Brampton/Oakville area. This dual-role requires a professional who can manage both general administrative duties and foundational bookkeeping/accounting tasks. Responsibilities
Administrative:
Schedule and confirm appointments.
Answer and relay telephone calls and messages.
Answer electronic enquiries.
Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
Greet people and direct them.
Type and proofread correspondence.
Bookkeeping/Financial:
Prepare trial balance of books.
Calculate and prepare cheques for
payroll
.
Post journal entries.
Keep financial records and maintain/balance various accounts using
manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
.
Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
Reconcile accounts.
Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
Skills:
Experience:
7 months to less than 1 year of experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role.
Education:
College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
Language:
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in computerized bookkeeping systems (experience with general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll functions is a must).
Personal Skills:
Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.
