We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join the Mine Maintenance Dept. to provide a range of support services including document preparation, data entry, customer service, payroll, scheduling of workforce, training records, and other related duties.

Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Operations, and working Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., you will:
  • Work safely in accordance with Rio Tinto safety standards \xe2\x80\x93 actively engaging in safety initiatives and promoting our \xe2\x80\x9cZero harm\xe2\x80\x9d safety culture
  • Perform data entry to ensure accurate information is promptly captured in appropriate information systems
  • Accurately maintain manpower overtime and records
  • Provide payroll and administrative support for supervisors
  • Establish and maintain office filing systems, files and records, assemble information upon request, direct other employees in file maintenance procedures

  • Proficient in MS Office applications and SAP
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively with others to achieve results

  • Experience with workforce scheduling, in a unionized environment, is an asset
