Administrative Assistant (Maternity Leave)



We have an opening for a maternity leave contract position for a part-time, casual Administrative Assistant in our satellite office located in The Township of Tiny. The successful candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills as well experience with an independent work environment. The work schedule is variable with approximately 32-hour work weeks from April to December and 6-hour work weeks on Thursdays only from January until the end of March. The anticipated start date for the maternity leave contract is September 22, 2025, for approximately 13 months.

Key Responsibilities



Manage reception including receiving and forwarding telephone or electronic enquiries Perform document management including archiving Maintain various logs and records such as detailed phone log and compliance records Conduct regular coordination with The Township of Tiny including transmittal of fees and approvals requiring building permits Receive and process all sewage system permit applications and file search requests Work with Cloud Permit software to process applications Perform administrative duties for the sewage system re-inspection program Maintain daily administrative functions of the office including word processing, photocopying, billings and filing

Key Requirements



Diploma in business, office administration or related field is an asset Minimum of 2 years of relevant administrative experience in a professional office setting Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational, time management, multitasking and prioritizing skills Enthusiasm to work in a team structure and a willingness to help and collaborate with others Proficient in use of initiative and judgement to select appropriate work methods and procedures
