Position Summary 
 West Park Healthcare Centre helps patients get their lives back by providing specialized rehabilitative and complex care after a life-altering illness or injury such as lung disease, amputation, stroke and traumatic musculoskeletal injuries. 
 The Professional Practice Department reports through to the Collaborative Academic Practice (CAP) portfolio at UHN. Collaborative Academic Practice (CAP) leads and delivers the practice of today and identifies the practice of tomorrow, advances knowledge and brings clinical transformation to life. We do this by inspiring a spirit of inquiry and innovation, building capacity among health professionals and teams to be at their best to deliver the highest quality of care and experiences, leveraging data and health information systems to measure, evaluate and inform impactful change and strategy, and enacting systems change and sustainability. Through compassionate leadership and a holistic approach, CAP's purpose is to enable health professionals to drive change while delivering knowledge-based quality care for the patients and families we serve. 
 The Professional Practice team consists of a collaborative interprofessional team consisting of Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Nurse Educators, and Clinical Practice Leaders who lead clinical teams in the provision of excellent patient care while building capacity of the clinical teams to respond to the diverse needs of the rehabilitation and complex continuing care patient population. 
 The Provincial LongTerm Ventilation Strategy engages Long Term Ventilation Programs, ICUs and other partner organizations from across the province in a hub and spoke model designed to effectively reduce pressure on ICUs, create capacity for patients with prolonged ventilation to transition safely to the community, support patients with complex medical conditions to maintain clinical stability in the community, reduce unnecessary acute care visits, coordinate expertise and resources from across the province to ensure access to standardized best practice long-term ventilation care, and improve quality of life for people requiring long-term ventilation through receiving specialized care closer to home. 
 Serving as administrative support to the Director of Professional Practice and the Director of the Provincial Long-Term Ventilation Strategy you will exercise considerable judgment and have independence in providing complex administrative support for two very busy programs. Your overall responsibility is to ensure that all work from these offices is deftly managed by being focused on effectively and efficiently managing constantly changing priorities related to internal and external projects, calendar and schedule management, and effective communication with all relevant parties. In addition you will produce first rate documentation and presentations, and anticipate Directors' professional needs. The role will also require you to interact with senior management across the province and interface with clients and vendors. To be considered for this role, you must have significant experience managing a busy Director's office.
