Job Description



The Education and Training Department invites resumes for a full-time Administrative Assistant located in Inuvik, NT. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Administrative Assistant assists with all administration and requirements for the Education and Training Department. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for a variety of general office administrative tasks for the Education and Training Team. The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education, experience, and knowledge:

  • Grade 12 or some Post-secondary education preferably in a related field.
  • Two years of related work experience in administration.
  • Experience working with database programs considered an asset.
  • Experience is a must in Microsoft Office Programs especially Excel.
  • Training and mentoring will be provided.
  • Client-service orientation.
  • Ability to communicate to a diverse client base.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to respond constructively and support others in challenging situations.
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.
