Position Summary: The Family Portal Representative provides front-line support to parents, guardians, and child care providers by assisting with online accounts, validating information, and interpreting policy to determine eligibility for child care programs. This role operates in a fast-paced call centre environment and requires strong communication, analytical skills, and adherence to policy and privacy legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Handle high volumes of calls, providing clear information and troubleshooting support.
Validate client information and assess eligibility for child care programs and grants.
Verify data through system checks and communicate required documentation.
Maintain accurate records in the Family Portal and process payment adjustments.
Review cases for potential fraud or overpayments and prepare referrals as needed.
Protect confidentiality and document interactions according to FOIP requirements.
Collaborate with team members to improve service quality.
Must Have
Ability to work from within Edmonton or Calgary, due to datacenter proximity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact and collaborate professionally with a diverse group.
Experience with research, analysis and problem solving.

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. The ability to work on multiple projects at one time and to prioritize tasks.
The ability to pay attention to detail
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools.
Experience with using CXone
Experience working in a call center environment responding to inquires over the phone or by email and tracking detailed notes on the request in a call tracking system.
