Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking one (1) Administrative Assistant to join our talented Service Delivery team at the Ministry of Education and Childcare (Government of Alberta).

WORK MODEL: The successful contractor(s) will be working fully onsite at Forestry Building, 9920 - 108 Street NW, Edmonton, AB. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada to apply (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident). Standard Hours of work are 08:00- 16:30 with a 1 hour lunch break Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Work must be done within Edmonton, Alberta area due to the in office requirements.

PROJECT OVERVIEW



The Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Branch Administrator and assist with key organizational tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES



- Key Responsibilities -

Calendar Management:

Assist with scheduling and maintaining the Executive Director's calendar, including coordinating meetings and appointments.

Email Management:

Organize and maintain shared email inboxes, including tagging, categorizing, and prioritizing messages for efficient follow-up.

Document & Filing Management:

Maintain accurate and organized filing systems (electronic and physical) to ensure easy retrieval of documents.

Administrative Support:

Provide general administrative assistance to the Branch Administrator, including preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations.

Support branch operations by handling additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and workflow.

MANDATORY SKILLS



- High School Diploma/GED. (Yes or No)

- Clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group. (Yes or No)

- The ability to pay attention to detail. (Yes or No)

- The ability to work on multiple projects at one time and to prioritize tasks. (Yes or No)

- Available for onsite meetings in Edmonton as required. Frequency of onsite meetings are three times per week. (Yes or No)

- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools. (1 years+)

- Experience with public sector retention and archiving of records. (1 years+)

- Experience using Microsoft Outlook for email messaging, task and calendar tracking, and other relevant, efficient features. (1 years+)

DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE SKILLS



- Relevant post-secondary education in the area of office administration. Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates (in years) (Yes or No)

- Experience editing documents in Adobe Acrobat Pro, or similar PDF editing software. (1 years+)
