Martech is a family-owned business that has been serving the Castlegar and West Kootenay region for the past 30 years. Our facility and shop provide services to industrial, commercial, and institutional clients in the area, specializing in the repair/rebuild/sale of electric motors, welding machines, pumps, and standby generators.
Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the business by providing efficient administrative, clerical, and customer service support. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing invoices and work orders, and assisting with accounts receivable and reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members both in person and through phone or email. Additional responsibilities include ensuring timely documentation and contributing to overall office organization and efficiency.
Job Details:
This is a Full-Time position that is available immediately and reports to the Shop Manager. The position is based in Castlegar, BC. Working hours are from 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.
Wages and benefits are based on education, experience, and qualifications.

Ability to communicate effectively with customers either in person, on phone, or via email
Maintaining and updating files and records
Data Entry, Filing and Office Organization
Complete daily administrative tasks which are integral to the overall business operations such as:
o Time Entry
o Work Order Creation and Reporting
o Invoice Creation and distribution
o Accounts Receivable and Reporting
o Other Administrative duties as required
Qualification Requirements and Skills:
Minimum 1 year of pre-existing administrative office or receptionist experience
Administrative Certificates or Training Courses are not required but a plus
Experience with Sage 300 CRE is not required but a plus
Enjoys interacting with customers and suppliers
Experience with the use of office equipment (printers, computers, copiers etc)
Must be able to take direction and work well both independently and within a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Flexible with the ability to move between various tasks
