About the Role
The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the special programs in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day office activities, coordinating meetings and communications, maintaining records, preparing correspondence and reports, and assisting with various projects as assigned. The Administrative Assistant serves as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and contributes to a positive, organized, and professional work environment.
This position is a Full Time, Limited term position working 35 hours per week for 6 months.
Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support across the School of Nursing and Midwifery, including reception backup, purchasing, and travel arrangements.
  • Support the coordination of departmental projects, events, and activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the department, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating communications.
  • Support student processes including scheduling, communication, and document management.
  • Assist with program accreditation, reviews, and data collection.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy in all tasks.
Qualifications
  • 1-Year Post Secondary Certificate/Program Completion.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in a post-secondary institution.
  • Administrative experience in an academic or similar setting strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and work independently in a busy environment.
Salary: $45,992 - $58,244 per annum
