Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in Canada. Based in our local office, you will play a vital role in supporting daily operations and ensuring our educational services run smoothly. Your contribution will help us maintain our commitment to excellence in career education.
Position Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the following, as well as other related duties as assigned, to support the objectives of Brighton College:
Student Administrative Services:
Conduct student orientation
Create, modify and distribute student class schedules
Create and distribute Interim Progress Reports, Transcripts and Diplomas
Create and distribute Enrollment Letters / Grade Summaries / Break Letters / LOA for international students
Provide advising on a drop-in basis to identify student needs and assist with resolving academic problems
Handle student complaints and grievances according to the Brighton College Dispute Resolution Policy
Assist with implementing campus processes and procedures
Plan, organize, and facility student activities and events
Student Career Services:
Advise students with resume writing, job search techniques and interview skills
Facilitate job search classes and workshops for students (e.g., industry events, networking events, guest speakers)
Cold-call companies to explore work experience and potential career opportunities for students
Coordinate the work experience placements for students from various college programs
Ensure all students are placed on program-related work experience placements on-time
Monitor students who are currently on practicum or co-op placements and conduct site-visits to assess their progress, as needed
Represent Brighton College at industry events, networking events, job fairs, education fairs, etc.
Assist with using social media to promote the Student Career Services Department and Brighton College
Maintain alumni engagement
General Administration when needed:
Front desk coverage
Maintain orderly appearance of the reception area, boardroom, and classrooms
Provide guests with relevant material (e.g. brochures, program flyers)
Administer student admission exams
Update the student bulletin board and TV slideshows
Assist all departments (e.g. faculty, admissions, finance) with administrative tasks
Occasionally provide classroom assistance to teachers and students
Remain current on academic and administrative policies, procedures, and requirements for all programs
Update the database in a timely and accurate manner
Maintain confidentiality regarding college and student information
Monitor student attendance
Assist with marketing by using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn & X
Other duties as assigned which are relevant to the Administrative Assistant position
Position Requirements

Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar clerical role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data entry skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in educational or customer service settings is a plus.
