Apply today to join our team!Reporting to the Operations Manager, Protection Services, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Protections Services team.The Administrative Assistant works with the Protection Services Director, Managers, Coordinators, and frontline Relational Security staff by providing a variety of administrative support to the program. The Administrative Assistant will be acting as a point of contact for general inquiries with respect to the Protection Services program, and performing the necessary administrative duties associated with these inquires. Urgent issues will be referred to the Protection Services Director, Managers, and Coordinators. The Administrative Assistant will coordinate the flow of information, ensure accurate and timely delivery of administrative services, and keep team members appraised of issues and activities. The Administrative Assistant will build and maintain relationship with other Protection Services team members and other stakeholders to ensure effective sharing of pertinent information, while maintaining confidentiality.As an Administrative Assistant 1, Protection Services with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:Be responsible for supporting the Protection Services team.Act as a point of contact for general inquiries with respect to the Protection Services program, and perform the necessary administrative duties associated with these inquires.Be responsible for ensuring confidentiality of employee information.Be responsible for inventory and assigning uniform items and equipment to all frontline Relational Security staff.Be responsible for auditing operational supplies and equipment (i.e., Nasal naloxone, radios, keys, office supplies, etc.) and ordering replenishments when needed.Prepare and maintain project tracking systems, plan meeting structures, and coordinate project meetings, participate on and liaise with various working groups, maintain issue logs, and prepare reports to ensure all stakeholders are informed of the status of the project(s).Assist with pre-screening applicants and connecting with the respective hiring Coordinator.Perform other related duties as assigned.This work is framed within VCH\xe2\x80\x99s commitments to our pillars of Indigenous Cultural Safety, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Planetary HealthQualificationsEducation & Experience

  • Graduation from a recognized administrative assistant/secretarial post-secondary program.
  • Three (3) years of related administrative support experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Must have advanced Microsoft office application (word, power point, excel, and access), desktop publishing, and database software skills and the ability to type a minimum of 60 w.p.m.
