We are seeking a highly motivated
Additive Manufacturing Application Engineer
to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an engineer with a passion for cutting-edge manufacturing technologies who can serve as the technical point of contact for customer additive manufacturing projects.
The ideal candidate should have deep technical experience in Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM), excellent communication skills, and experience in sales support and customer-facing roles. The Application Engineer will provide guidance and technical support to customers, resolving application issues.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the technical point of contact for customer additive manufacturing projects
Evaluate design requirements and recommend appropriate additive manufacturing technologies and post-processing techniques
Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize parts for printability, performance, and cost
-Schedule orders and set production priorities
Implement build strategies, including part orientation and customer-specific requirements
Set up builds, process parts, perform inspections, and validate outputs
Troubleshoot printing and post-processing issues, providing actionable solutions
Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services
Manage customer accounts, including after-sales support and invoicing
Prepare shipping documents for domestic and international shipments, with knowledge of customs requirements and global trade agreements
Requirements
Strong understanding of various 3D printing technologies and materials
Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Problem-solving mindset with hands-on technical skills
Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience & Education
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred to be additive manufacturing)
- DCS / DEC or a university degree in mechanical engineering
