as an

Addictions Worker (Level 1)

and be part of a multidisciplinary team that helps shelter clients build toward better health, stability, and sustainable housing. You'll work one-on-one with individuals navigating complex issues, using harm reduction and recovery-based approaches to make a meaningful impact during a critical transition period in their lives.

What You'll Do

Provide short-term, intensive case management for clients experiencing problematic substance use Refer and support access to withdrawal management, treatment programs, and other community services Conduct client assessments and develop personalized, goal-oriented support plans Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure coordinated, wraparound care Support clients' transition into stable housing in partnership with the Breaking Barriers Housing Team Offer crisis intervention, relapse prevention, and harm reduction supports Maintain accurate case documentation and participate in service planning

What You Bring

Degree in Social Work, Health, Addictions Counselling, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience At least 2 years of experience supporting individuals with substance use challenges Knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and recovery models Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Familiarity with Toronto's shelter system and addiction services First Aid and WHMIS certification (required) Ability to speak a second language is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.70 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
