August 31, 2024 with potential for extension Job purpose As a member of the ADAPT Project Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and case managing 100+ ADAPT clients throughout multiple stages of client participation in the program. The successful candidate will be responsible for fielding potential client inquires about the program, conducting the enrollment and screening process for clients, referring clients for formal assessments, development of customized learning plans, making referrals to other supports/services/resources, coaching on employability and Skills for Success skills, coaching the use of assistive technology supports, coordinating with the Workplace Analysis Manager to support accommodation planning and skills training, data management and reporting. Duties and responsibilities Responsibilities for the Learning Strategist include:

  • Fielding inquiries from potential clients
  • Meeting with clients to coordinate enrolment and participation in the program
  • Coaching the use of assistive technology supports, employability skills, study skills and Skills for Success
  • Conducting informal assessments including interpreting assessment scores and completing informal interviews
  • Utilizing formal assessment results where applicable to create and coordinate individualized learning plans that support clients\' workplace performance goals
Education and Experience
  • University degree in Education or related discipline
  • Experience in adult learning principles and familiarity with provision of education/accommodation for adults with potential learning disabilities
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience (equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered)
  • Proficient with the use of technology/digital tools (apps)
  • Base knowledge of the challenges associated with ADHD would be especially helpful

Other Information
  • 75 hrs. bi-weekly Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, but hours may vary
  • Available to meet occasionally with clients outside regular hours
  • Hourly rate $30.00 plus mercs
  • Vacation and sick leave
