Job Summary:
As an Acupuncturist and TCMP, you will work with patients to diagnose their ailments by taking their history and symptoms, developing treatment plans, and answering concerns and inquiries. You will assess, treat and prevent diseases, conditions, disorders or imbalances of patients' using various forms of treatment including acupuncture, herbology or other holistic health approaches.
Duties:
Diagnose symptoms, imbalances, physiological disorders and injuries of patients according to Chinese medicine traditions
Educate patients on risks and benefits of treatments
Develop and implement treatment plans including acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion, cupping, scraping or electrical current
Evaluate and document patients' progress
May provide dietary and lifestyle advice including information on life therapies
May develop treatment plans in collaboration with other health care professionals, such as acupuncturists, osteopathic practitioners and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners to ensure comprehensive client care
Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
Skills:
Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive and welcoming experience for clients
Proficient in medical terminology to effectively communicate with clients and other healthcare professionals
Strong communication skills to listen to clients' concerns and address their needs during the treatment session
Ability to adapt techniques based on clients' preferences, comfort levels, and specific conditions
