Purpose:
Reporting to the VP, Valuation Actuary, this position is responsible for performing and guiding actuarial modeling and analysis with respect to financial reporting.
Accountabilities:
Job ResponsibilitiesProduce and review quarterly US GAAP results. Assist with quarterly Statutory and Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) reporting, as needed. Communicate results to senior management and other key stakeholders. Support the development of frameworks to assess international business across multiple currencies. Build, maintain, and document detailed actuarial models. Develop, execute, and review modeling processes and related controls. Collaborate with other actuarial functions and support new business initiatives as required. Maintain and document actuarial assumptions, methodologies, and standards. Drive strategic forecasting initiatives by building adaptable tools to support evolving business needs. Interface with internal and external auditors to respond to inquiries and support audit processes. Modernize and improve the financial reporting process to maximize accuracy and efficiency. Validate and test new reporting models and results.


Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in mathematics or any quantitative field. Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (or equivalent) is preferred. 6+ years' experience working in the life insurance industry Proficiency in MS Office suite and any programming language. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage several projects. Demonstrated desire to take initiative and run with projects Comfortable working in a flat structured organization and interacting with senior management Ability to view "big picture", understand broad corporate impacts, and focus on company objectives Excellent oral and written English language skills
